My daughter previously had an uninspiring flute teacher and she consequently had been making very little progress and wasn't enjoying playing. Ellie is a nice, bubbly, and fun tutor, and my daughter immediately made much better progress and started to enjoy playing the flute again. They have played a good range of types of music, concentrating on exam pieces, but then also playing fun pieces and duets. Ellie also covers the essential music theory and aural elements of music exams.

"I have found Ellie an excellent teacher. She has been very supportive and helpful. Some of it has been good technical points and some specific helpful suggestions that are peculiar to me - my left thumb joint has annoyingly started to show signs of osteoarthritis.

She is patient especially with my impatience to crack ahead, gently reminding me it is better to get a piece right and slow than race it and tolerate mistakes. She has been helpful in choosing pieces that I can enjoy playing as well as providing a productive challenge.
